| On display are paintings, woodcuts,
batiks, appliqués and metalworks. They are contemporary
works with a mainly traditional theme. The artists all live in Oshogbo,
a town in the Yoruba-speaking part of Nigeria. The ‘Oshogbo School’
came to international prominence in the late 50s and has remained
a vibrant part of the Nigerian cultural scene ever since. We have
works by the pioneers of this movement as well as by their talented
              successors. |
