Mirrors, made from repoussé aluminium or copper frames,
made in Oshogbo, Nigeria. The frames depict traditional scenes from
Yoruba village life, with the cool metal giving them a contemporary
feel. This delightful juxtaposition of tradition and contemporary makes
them an ideal accessory in today's interiors.
Sculptures from Zimbabwe, sometimes referred
to as 'Shona Sculptures' made from opal, differently coloured
serpentine and springstone. They look equally stunning indoors and
outdoors. They make particularly good garden features where a focal
point is required.
Some of the artists on our books are of
international repute. Others are talented young sculptors who
have yet to make a name for themselves, with prices reflecting this
fact.
